The most important thing for me is technical sparring, I always tried to do as much as possible throughout my career and think it should be the most important part of anyone’s training.

Junior Testimonials

“I asked the Juniors to give me some testimonials for the new website. What I got from them, both surprised me and made me feel very proud of what we have accomplished at AMAG. The testimonials below are the Juniors’ own words and how they feel about AMAG and what they have accomplished. The environment they train in is very much down to the coaches and instructors and the attitudes of the students.” – Leigh Richardson (Head Instructor).

Fraser Smith

Thai Teens & Fight Team

I started going to AMAG back in 2013 which means I was 13 back then so I have been going for three years to Muay Thai sessions which I highly recommend to any new comer. I started off going with my friends because I didn’t have the confidence to go by myself and I was a really nervous person at the time, when it came to trying out new things but AMAG was a whole different story for me. Instead of a sport like football, which everyone plays, I just wanted to try something different for a change. So I stuck to my guns and went session after session. Then I managed to get on to the fight team after a year at AMAG, which I was really chuffed with myself and was looking forward to some competition. When I got my first fight the nerves started to kick in again as soon as I heard the news but when the time came I was ready as ever but then I ended up loses the fight in the end. I was disappointed but also happy at the same time because it’s the taking part that counts. A couple of months later I found out that I had another fight and was facing the same guy. I knew for a fact I had to train hard if I wanted to win so I had to spar with my friends who are like giants compared to me and I hate sparing with Giants! Then the time came and I won in the first round which showed me that I have been improving. The first thing you learn in Muay Thai is not a kick not a punch but respect. You have to respect the martial art, your team mates, instructors, friends, family; AMAG is one big family and will always be welcoming to anyone who wants to join. If I never joined AMAG you wouldn’t be reading this now, it can turn you life around just by stepping foot onto the mats. I’m only sixteen years of age and AMAG has changed me into a new person. The experience at AMAG  has changed my life and I’m sure it can change anybody else’s. Become the person you were meant to be.

Thomas Blake

Thai Teens, BJJ, Junior MMA & Fight Team

I joined AMAG 1 year ago, age 15, and have not looked back since. When I moved from Abu Dhabi where I had originally started doing Muay Thai I was looking for a new gym to join and AMAG seemed to be a popular place and for good reason too. When I joined I was welcomed with open arms by very friendly people. Ever since joining the coaches have helped me greatly in becoming a better fighter and I hope to continue this progress in the future.
Recently I have started Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and MMA and which I am also thoroughly enjoying. The drills and the atmosphere the coaches and other members make for every class make me want to go right back in after leaving.
Now that I am in the junior Muay Thai Fight Team I am really looking forward to competing and being successful in my competitions.

Liam Colaluca

Thai Teens, BJJ & Fight Team

I started AMAG in late 2013 and started doing Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and I am now part of the junior fight team and was welcomed with open arms. They are all great and friendly people even if they do give you a beating every now and then! I have enjoyed my time here so far and expect it to get even better in the future.

AMAG, well where to start? I have been with the AMAG family for a short one year but has felt like a lifetime! Everyone has helped me progress into the person/athlete I am today. Every partner whether it be sparring or pad work was perfect, treated me like family and that’s what everyone at AMAG is to me now; family. All the instructors are exquisite, whether it be having a laugh or knowing when to push you to your limit to get you to your highest potential level. Anyone who asks me about AMAG, I tell them the truth, anyone is welcome with open arms as I was and I welcome anyone with open arms. Since I started I was in the teens MMA, Muay Thai and Junior Fight Team, I have now progressed to the adult classes and couldn’t be happier, I have no regrets to which gym I chose, haven’t looked back since the day I started. I am exited to see where AMAG take me and I hope to see my AMAG family throughout my future. OOOOSSS

Thai Teens, MMA & Fight Team

I started going to AMAG a year ago but it has felt like much longer. I began doing Mixed Martial Arts and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and I am still doing them today. AMAG has helped me with a lot of things in the time that I have been going but the reason I started was to loose weight and improve my fitness and they have helped me do just that. In the year I have managed to lose two stone and my fitness has also increased massively. At AMAG we do a lot of fun things depending on what you are interested in, in MMA you can spar, learn new moves and basically anything. In Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu you can roll, learn all of these cool submissions and grapples.

I am looking forward to seeing my future with AMAG and the AMAG family.
